The Odense Fjord Collaboration secretariat will play a facilitating role in the Odense Fjord Coastal Water Council, while our partners will be represented in both the council and the local green tripartite.

Coastal Water Council Report: Rebuilding Odense Fjord will be difficult and expensive – but not impossible

The report shows that nutrients from the land areas close to the fjord must be significantly reduced. At the same time, it highlights the need to establish measures to improve the aquatic environment below the surface of the fjord, such as establishing stone reefs and planting eelgrass.
The report was created under the auspices of the Coastal Water Council for Odense Fjord, which was founded as one of four coastal water councils nationwide in February 2023 with the Odense Fjord Collaboration as project manager.
